Before you try it.

Is it really free?

Yes. You can build a shopping list, generate recipes, and send a cart to Instacart® without an account or a card. If you make an account later, it stays free. We’ll be up-front if that ever changes.

Do I need an Instacart® account?

You need one to check out. That’s where you enter your address and payment. Ingreedi hands off a pre-filled cart; the checkout happens in the Instacart® app or website, and we never see your card details.

Does it handle allergies and diets?

Yes. Set your allergies, dietary preferences, and unit preferences once (metric or imperial), and every generated recipe and shopping list respects them. Guest mode uses sensible defaults until you save a profile.

What happens to my data?

Guest work lives in your browser and disappears when you clear it. Nothing is tied to an identity. If you create an account, your lists, recipes, and pantry sync to that account and nothing else. We don’t sell data.

Is there an app?

Yes, on iPhone. The iOS app adds receipt scanning and pantry photo scanning on top of everything the web app does. Android is on the roadmap.
